Southwick
Studio is
a school for theatre arts and expression founded by actor, director and
teacher, Andrea Southwick. Our mission is twofold: to offer serious,
high-quality training for the theatre artist and to open up channels of
creative and emotional expression for the individual. Students develop
and deepen a technique that reflects their own personal strengths while
engaging in a process of self-discovery and creative empowerment in a
nurturing and sane environment.
Southwick Studio offers a comprehensive program of instruction. Our classes and workshops in theatre arts are designed for students with a wide range of experience from novice to seasoned amateur to professional. Our instructors use techniques of Stanislavski, Hagen, Meisner, Barton, Johnstone, Grotowski, Linklater, Cohen, Chekhov, Boal, Laban, Alexander, Hart and many other influences to create their own approaches to the actor's craft and to the individual's creative expression.
